Description
Some paintings don’t just speak to you—they pull you into a state of deep meditation, where time slows down, and creation flows effortlessly. This is one of those paintings.
There was no plan for this one. A blue-background canvas sat in my studio, waiting for something entirely different, while I was prepared to work on another piece. But then, inspiration struck—sudden, electric, undeniable. And from that moment, Shiv Shakti emerged.
From the first brushstroke to the final detail, everything flowed with an intensity I rarely experience that too when I was unwell for past week. It came to life in just two days. It was as if the painting wanted to be born, and I was merely the medium.
I have always been drawn to the balance of opposites—Ardhanarishvara, Shiv Shakti, Yin-Yang—the divine interplay of masculine and feminine energies. This painting is my heartfelt interpretation of that harmony.
Throughout the process, my studio resonated with the music of Rishabh Sharma and Indian Ocean, filling me with an energy so powerful it felt like the rhythm itself was guiding my strokes. There is something otherworldly in their music, a magic that found its way onto my canvas.
And at the soul of this piece is an inspiration very dear to me—Sushant Divgikr. Their music, their ability to transition seamlessly between male and female vocal tones, and, most importantly, the way they embrace and express their true self with such courage and authenticity—I deeply admire it. That unapologetic brilliance shaped this painting in ways I can’t fully put into words.
