This painting is painted in combination with three other paintings. The inspiration behind these paintings was the wildflowers that we find growing in unexpected places, like in old abandoned buildings, in the dump, or on the sidewalk.
We may not necessarily see them in bouquets or floral arrangements but they bring a sense of wonder and beauty at unexpected times and places.
The use of bright and bold colors can evoke a sense of energy and vitality, while the use of cooler tones can create a more calming and peaceful atmosphere. I wanted to have a good balance of both. In places where this unexpected natural beauty occurs, we are able to see diversity in flora, in their colors, sizes, shapes, and textures.

By incorporating different materials and techniques, I am able to create a tactile quality in my work. It also helped me capture the essence of wildflowers to convey the emotions and feelings associated with them and evoke the organic quality of natural flowers.
